Global War On Terror Memorial And Ways To Conquer Extremism

By Harold West

Memorializing in the context of terrorism constitute the intent to remember and preserve memories of those who have fallen victim to inhumane acts of bombings. It is the duty national governments to partner in their quest to win the Global War on Terror Memorial. This is following the many lives that have succumbed to the evil desires of men and women whose humanity has gone rogue.

The bloody scenes left after blast attacks have made nations to adopt new policies to stop activities that jeopardize national security. Hence, there will significant decrease to situations where people will have to gather for memorials. This would imply that the financial input that will be channeled towards memorial monuments will be now put to good use in other areas of national interest.

Use of drone attacks by the United States in Islamic nations has broadened the bridge between them and Jihadists. Fearing for their defeat, the Al-Qaeda starts to recruiting new members to their legions. This strengthens their military power which challenges efforts by governments to end their spread. Putting an end to the drone attacks will reduce terror infiltration into stable securities.

Most governments arrest alleged perpetrators and subject them to brutality. Jihadists see this to be utter hypocrisy in the delivery of justice. These acts of holding people without any charges or trials show that governments do not follow the same laws they uphold. Therefore, to reduce the effect of these attacks on the global population, government should order their (suspected terrorists) release.

The indiscriminate airstrikes by the United States in the Islamic states in the Middle East leave many lives lost and many are left with lifetime injuries. Most of these people seek redress which is usually inadequate if at all they are compensated. Offering genuine apologies to these innocent victims and compensating them accordingly will reduce the acts of terror.

National governments usually deploy military personnel and fight contractors to areas believed to be hiding areas of terrorist groups. The feeling of insecurity plays in when they notice that their peace is jeopardized. This prompts them to seek access to target nations where they cause serious bloodshed through bomb blasts. This situation would be well controlled if the troops are ordered out of those areas.

Supporting dictatorship and repressive militaries by the developed countries has been a tool for terrorist leaders to strengthen their troops. For instance, the signing of arms deal with the monarch of Saudi Arabia whose government sent tank rockets into the neighboring Bahrain to suppress a democratic uprising there. This move to hinder peaceful protester has received a very negative response by the terror groups who resolve to vengeful missions.

Programs to create terror memorials will continue to be heard of if there will be continued disregard of the international rule of law by key nations. This is because most nations carry out the assassinations of those believed to be terrorists. Government should end these prejudicial killings and use the law to bring them to justice. By doing this, the path to less memorials will be clear without challenges.
